Introduction
In this quick tutorial, we'll show you how to set a custom download folder in FileZilla because it's often handy to have all downloaded files always in the same place. If you don't set this value, FileZilla picks the current local folder and you'll end up with downloaded files dispersed all over the file system.
How to set a custom download folder in FileZilla?
1. First, go to File -> Site Manager. Here you'll see a list of your existing registered sites. It's important to mention that you must set a download folder per site. In this case, I have one entry with name Contabo, and I'll configure download location for it.
2. In the Advanced tab you'll see a parameter called Default local directory. Pick the folder where you want to save your downloaded filed by clicking on Browse button.
3. Select folder you would like to use and click Select folder.
And that's it, our download location is set. Reconnect to your site after setting this parameter so that changes take effect.
